Paul Holland has been announced as the Head of Football Development at Long Eaton United with the remit of creating a pathway for young players to progress into the first team.
Despite only being 43 Paul has a wealth of experience in the professional game as a player and coach.
He made more than 300 league and cup appearances for the likes of Mansfield Town, Sheffield United, Chesterfield and Bristol City and has since established a reputation as a fine youth coach.
During his nine year career – which was cut short by a knee injury – he became a fan favourite for the Stags and went on to appear alongside David Beckham and Robbie Fowler for England U21s.
Retiring at the age of 27 Paul has since managed both Mansfield and Ilkeston FC and went on to establish a successful academy at the latter – which Birmingham City midfielder Che Adams graduated from – before joining United for the 2017/18 season.
